I'm tired of nice sermons.

A nice sermon is like oatmeal. It can sustain a person, but it won't offer much of a kick. A convicting sermon is like BBQ ribs. It bursts with flavor and satisfies down to the inner recesses of a person.

man, I LOVE ribs. They're messy and it actually takes work eating them...thats a type of food where you remember exactly the last time you had them because most likely a piece falls in your lap....or you have this sauce smeared across your face and no one tells you until you get to the car. (obviously not a first date food..but on that note maybe I"ll try that just for kicks, ha) Or you have to have those little wips (I use probably 10 of them) because regular napkins won't do...but in the end its worth it. I remember those times.
...I don't really ever remember what took place eating oatmeal though. I actually remember wishing I was doing something else.
Same with "oatmeal" sermons.
