Quote of the Day

"It is the fact of life that the best athlete and the finest scholar receive the hardest and the most demanding training."

I read this in a book somewhere. Since then I've written it in my journal and on sticky notes around my desk as a reminder of the fruit that comes from the demands of high pressure ministry.

As I read that qoute I wanted to print it out on a large piece of paper and post it on my file cabinet. I remember going through sports when i was a kid. however, it became intense when i started playing competetively in highschool. when i got to college and got my soccer scholarship, I constantly needed to remind myself of the hard work and dicipline. it made me proud to accomplish such a thing. I also am sitting here remembering the first and only time i got straight A's. It was in college and how rewarding it felt to actually achieve the goal i had wanted to make my whole academic life. My last semester and a half of college was hard work, it took much needed dicipline and lots of tears. however, I made it, I am proud to say that I have crossed that finish line, and now into the start of a new race which will also take dicipline and endurance. Thank you for that reminder. I think we all need a little reminder once in a while of what we are working towards and how far we have gone. brianna
